Welcome to Southern Lawyer Mom!  I’m so glad you’re here.  Please take a look around.  Or, as we say in the South, sit and stay for awhile.

Thank you for being here!

The  purpose of this blog is to connect with other humans about the universal experiences of human-ing.  I’ll talk a lot about caring for littles, faith, the struggle to maintain a sense of self, divorce, the elusive “balance”, and a little about work, life, psychology, books I’ve read, and random things.

I started this blog when my older daughter was two and a quarter.  She spent most of her day narrating to me what she was doing.  “I eat banana.”  “I have two pigtails.” “My wear blue dress.”  She wanted and still wants a witness to her life, and she does not at all question that her listener will value what she has to say.  I think all human beings want that:  a witness to our lives and a listener who wants to hear what we have to say.  That’s part of the purpose of this blog.  To share stories, champion each others’ victories and bear witness to each others’ struggles.
